WINTERGREEN UPDATE
Wintergreen is only two weeks away. Now is the time to really crank up the promotional efforts:
• Distribution of promotional shopping bags will begin this weekend at some Regina malls.
• The Wintergreen tabloid featuring new marketers will be appearing in restaurants, hotels, and other locations beginning on Monday.
• 92 FM radio ads will begin on the 10th and 1190 AM (Weyburn) will begin on the 3rd.
• Jake Wetzel, Saskatchewan’s only gold medal winner at the Beijing Olympics, will be raising an oar to officially open Wintergreen.
• Billboards are up at Victoria & Hamilton, Albert & 15th, and 11TH & Quebec.
You can help make Wintergreen a success by making sure you are using your dollar off coupons and free admissions. Those work – you can help build sales for yourself and for your colleagues.

PROVINCIAL ARTS POLICY FRAMEWORK
The Provincial government has released a draft policy framework document for the Saskatchewan Arts Centre. This follows the government receiving over 650 submissions during it’s consultation process. “The release of a draft planning framework is a huge step forward in the development of a vibrant and growing arts, culture and heritage sector, so vital to making our province a great place to live, work and play," said the Honourable Christine Tell, Minister of Tourism, Parks, Sport and Culture.
You can view the draft policy framework at http://www.tpcs.gov.sk.ca/draft-policy-framework.

DIMENSIONS GROWTH – Saskatoon show opening will be on Nov 28 at the SCC Gallery. At this time, the SCC will be awarding a lifetime membership to Folmer Hanson. Folmer was a pioneer in Saskatchewan Ceramics – teaching at the Saskatchewan Summer School of the Arts in the 1960’s and 1970’s and a founder of the Hanson Ross Pottery Studio in Fort Qu’Appelle.

EXPO 2009
EXPO 2009 has been scheduled for April 2009 in Saskatoon. In addition to the invitational-only evening event, the EXPO displays will be open to the public on a paid admission basis for a second day. This will allow people who did not get an invitation to the evening event to attend and view the Craft. It will also provide a second day of sales opportunity. Artis

Please note: The fee remains at $400.00. We expect to notify EXPO participants next week.

The selections will be based on the committee members’ general knowledge of the work of applicants, along with any photographs of the type of work that will be exhibited. Provision of photographs is particularly important for potential first time participants or for members who have significantly changed the type of work they are doing.
