Leslie Potter and Alicia Popoff: Third Sound
WHEN: May 05 to June 30, 2012, at Art Gallery of Swift Current.

An artist couple living and working on the Canadian prairies, their individual art seems to go well together. There is a connection with the images, the elements they use, and the compositions they create. They say this is probably because they both work entirely from their imaginations in art making, and maybe because they live together, look at each other's work daily and often compare notes on it. This has been the impetus for their exhibition, THIRD SOUND.
Leslie's Potter sculpts in different materials and sizes. He loves working with welded steel and his art expresses his fasciation with energy. He is influenced by his environment such as the vast prairie landscape, and by his passions such as music.
Alicia Popoff works mainly in acrylic and mixed media such as collage, using abstract imagery. She is influenced by the beauty of the prairie, and light, colours and textures she experiences through her surroundings. Her passion is creating abstract, imaginative art with a tangible physicality.
