The show was organized by Jude Haraldson through Prairie Fibreshed Inc.\, an organization that promotes circular textile processes within our province. All works in the show were made by local artists\, using natural fibre materials grown and processed in Saskatchewan. The result is a truly local\, sustainable\, and quintessentially Saskatchewan collection of textile art.

DESCRIPTION:Winterruption Fibre Art Hands-On Demo at the Saskatchewan Craft Council \nWhen: Saturday\, January 24\, 12 – 4 PM\nWhere: Saskatchewan Craft Council\, 813 Broadway Ave\, Saskatoon \nCost: FREE \n\nOn Saturday\, January 24\, as part of Winterruption\, you’re invited to visit the Saskatchewan Craft Council Gallery on Broadway Avenue! Artist Jude Haraldson and volunteers from the Saskatoon Spinners and Weavers Guild will be leading drop-in participants through a family-friendly\, hands-on yarn spinning demonstration. Colouring pages by illustrator Anna Hunter will also be available. Come warm up and learn more about creating fibre art with locally sourced materials.  \nSCC Gallery is a free public art gallery focused on showcasing fine craft art in all its forms.
