This is a solo exhibition by New Brunswick ceramic artist Darren Emenau. Darren’s work is inspired by the east coast landscape, and in fact he sources his clay locally – literally digging it out of the Bay of Fundy himself. His glaze recipes are highly experimental – he mixes them himself – and always resulting in unexpected and unique textures. Darren’s exhibition “Aggregate” features experiments in glaze and form that convey a simultaneously contemporary and ageless feel.

Due to the intrinsic nature of the low fired glazes used, the works in this exhibition have a delicate surface that will, when moved and touched, naturally shed some fragments.
