Exhibition Applications

Applications for the Saskatchewan Craft Council gallery are currently closed as the gallery is booked until 2027. Our next call for proposals will be in 2025. Please watch our social media accounts, website, or sign up for our newsletter (link newsletter sign up here) to be informed as to our next call for exhibition applications.

The Saskatchewan Craft Council Gallery presents solo and group exhibitions reflecting craft history, contemporary practice, and innovation. The SCC Gallery prioritizes Saskatchewan craft but aims to include at least one touring or out-of-province exhibition each year.

For each exhibition the SCC will provide installation assistance, insurance, promotion, documentation, partial compensation for shipping, and exhibition royalties (CARFAC – Category 1). If an artist talk is agreed upon an honorarium will be provided. The SCC regrets we cannot pay CARFAC standard royalties for artist talks or group exhibitions. Royalties for group exhibitions are paid at a different rate than the CARFAC recommendations. Please contact us if you would like further information or clarification.

Artists applying for exhibition may choose to have work for sale, or not for sale. The SCC Gallery will be responsible for processing exhibition sales and arranging shipping with purchasers. A 40% commission will be retained by the SCC on any sales.

The SCC strives to reflect the cultural diversity of Saskatchewan and the craft community in our programming – we encourage applications from self-identified members of under-served communities. We encourage submissions from Indigenous artists, artists with disabilities, new Canadians as well as people from visible and invisible marginalized groups.
