Susan Robertson

Ceramic artist Susan Robertson has been making people smile with pottery for over 40 years. She believes everyone should live with art they love, creating work that is both useful and beautiful. Her pottery reflects a love of colour, humour, and inspiration drawn from nature and everyday life.

A graduate of Saskatchewan Institute of Applied Science and Technology in Applied Fine Arts, Ceramics, Susan received the Tree Pottery Award and the Artisan’s Craft Market / Melfort Craft Society Scholarship. Her production and sculptural work has been exhibited in solo and group shows across Saskatchewan, Manitoba, British Columbia, and the United States. Her sculpture “Stoney Plains Birches” was featured in Best in Contemporary Ceramic Pitchers by Lark Books.

Since 1983, Susan has built a respected production pottery practice, selling through select stores across Canada and the United States, while earning a reputation for quality craftsmanship and reliability.

In 2022, she built and moved into a new studio and retail space in Broderick. In 2023, it became Saskatchewan’s first Economusée Network Society Artisan at Work Economusée, Craft. In 2024, she received the Saskatchewan Arts Board Recognition Award. Susan now shares her love of clay through workshops and will launch Prairie Pottery Adventure in May 2026, offering visitors a hands-on prairie pottery experience
