Emily Gillies​

Emily has been lovingly creating one-of-a-kind woven goods on her four-foot, two-harness floor looms since she was a teenager; learning from her Grandparents and later gratefully inheriting their looms. Emily loves all colour, especially the bright ones. She adores the variety of textures she can get her hands on and the patterns her mind can dream up. She intuitively experiments with creative processes while also enjoying traditional styles and techniques in the creation of her unique rugs, bags, placemats, pillows and tapestries. Emily champions the Inner Artist within everyone with her previous work as a Retreat Centre owner and through other community-minded and personal-reflection-focused work.
