Diane Larouche Ellard

Diane Larouche Ellard is a painter and encaustic/mixed media artist living in Biggar, Saskatchewan. Larouche Ellard exhibits her work throughout the province and is represented by The Gallery at Mattick’s Farm in Victoria and Grasslands Gallery Online.

Where did you learn your medium?

I received a BFA in painting and drawing from the University of Saskatchewan. I participated in a mentorship with Bobbi Clackson-Walker to learn how to work with encaustic.

What inspires you?

The prairies, especially prairie skies. Landscape, light, colour, and line. The process of making and discovering happy accidents that turn into new techniques.
