Garnet Hall

I was born in Saskatchewan and grew up on a farm near Stoughton. I spent 10 years on Vancouver Island before I returned to my family’s farm in 1980. I started woodworking to supplement our income. I was a member of the Saskatchewan Craft Council in the ’80s and ’90s and am happy to be back. I have attended WinterGreen Fine Craft Market, The Saskatchewan Handcraft Festival, Bazaart, and the Winnipeg Christmas Craft Sale.

How would you describe what craft is?

Craft is the meeting of mind ,heart and hands to create functional /artist items for people to enjoy and use. I think craft should reflect the environment and community where it is created.

I have a solar installation that provides all the power for our home and my shop.
I plant trees every year to replace what I use and sequester carbon
