Megan Broner
With a love of biology and art Megan Courtney Broner, has combined the two disciplines in her unique jewellery. Deciding not to pursue only one interest, she completed a three-year goldsmithing apprenticeship in Rome and a BSC at Dalhousie University in Halifax. Utilizing her knowledge of biology, nature, geological materials and understanding of the human body to create work that is not only beautiful but comfortable as well. Broner’s work is inspired by nature and the complexity that exists within it. She aims to break these complexities down into simple and elegant designs that still share an abstract connection with the natural world. Though she grew up in New York, Broner has been a resident of Saskatchewan since 1977. She has worked to build her reputation as a jewellery designer across Canada by exhibiting in galleries and designing work for private commissions.
