Patrick Bulas

Patrick Bulas is an artist and educator with close to 30 years of printmaking experience. Born in Edmonton, he received both his BFA and MFA from the University of Alberta. He’s had solo exhibitions in Edmonton and Saskatoon and has participated in group exhibitions in Finland, Vancouver, Hamilton, and Spain. Within his art, Patrick uses images of animals to create narratives and explores the phenomena studied in astronomy and physics. Along with his solo work, he collaborates with fellow artist Jordan Schwab to explore alternative approaches to printmaking and their continuing friendship. In addition to his studio practice, Patrick is the printmaking studio technician and a sessional instructor in the School for the Arts at the University of Saskatchewan. He also teaches relief printmaking at Hues Art Supply and Community Arts. Currently he is the co-chair of SK Printmakers.​
