Stacey Paul

Stacey is a ceramic artist residing on Treaty Six territory in Saskatoon, with a focus on wheel thrown functional work and a special interest in teapots of all kinds. Underglaze painting is a recent addition to their body of work, combining painting techniques, mishima, and sgraffito into their work. They also work with texture to create pieces that scratch the itch of folks who are sensory seekers, with slip placed over handles and bodies of pieces. They have been working over the last couple years to learn the science behind glaze chemistry and mixing glazes to create new colour and finish options, and would like one day to create their own glaze recipes to further the goal of creating unique pieces.
