Vivian Wasiuta
she/her
Vivian Wasiuta is a studio handweaver who loves exploring fibre, colour, and weave structures in original and classic designs. She creates finely woven fashion accessories and household pieces under the label Woven by Vivian Textiles in her Regina-based studio. The focus of her stylish scarves, shawls, and cowls is elegance, luxury, and drape. Heritage quality household weavings include throws, table runners, baby blankets, hand / kitchen towels, bath mats, luxuriously large bath towels, bath cloths, and rugs. Vivian uses natural fibres in her weaving, including cotton, hemp, linen, silk, bamboo, merino, wool and alpaca. Whenever possible, she incorporates organic, naturally dyed, and local yarn. This aligns with her background in environmental and climate science.
