Yvonne Musey Johnson
Yvonne Musey Johnson is a mixed media artist living in Saskatoon. She loves to explore many subjects in her work, such as organic forms, cultural elements, vintage fashion and worldly communities while experimenting with a wide range of media. She primarily makes jewelry but also works with glass, paint, metals, clay, found objects, recycled materials and fibre. Yvonne’s jewelry has been sold in many countries. She has taken many workshops in painting with acrylics, mixed media and watercolour; portraiture sculpture; ceramics; glass bead making; glass fusion; silversmithing; enamelling; bookbinding; papermaking and natural ink making. Her work has been exhibited at Hues Gallery, Saskatchewan Craft Council Affinity Gallery, Canadian Light Source and the Saskatchewan Wearable Art Gala, 2017, 2019 and 2022, winning 1st place for “Spectacle of Water” head piece in collaboration with artist Alison Norlen in 2022. She holds a B.Ed, M.Ed, and B.A. in Studio Art, concentrating on Contemporary Sculpture. She enjoys collaborating with other artists and has participated in Emma International Artist Collaboration since 2010, New Zealand Collaboration 2025 as well as submitting pieces to the Frogwood Artist Collab out of Portland. Oregon. Presently, she holds memberships for the Saskatoon Glassworkers’ Guild and is a board member of the Emma International Artist Collaboration.
