Tiffany lamp experts Nancy A. McClelland and Lars Rachen have collected a selection of exceptional Tiffany lamps and photographed them digitally for this publication. Martin Eidelberg, professor emeritus of art history at Rutgers University is the author of a few chapters to give history and context to the work featured here. Then the pieces are separated into chapters: Trees and Shrubs, Vines, Flowers, Wetlands and Fauna. Each photographed work has a description with the title, model number (when possible), dimensions, marks and a description.
The photographs are beautiful, detailed and worthwhile for study. Each piece is on a background to help showcase the true colours featured. Some have a close up photographs which give a detailed look at the talent involved in creating artworks such as these.
This book was published in New York by Vendome Press, 2012 with 224 pages in hard cover, photography in colour.
