The Saskatchewan Craft Council Annual Jury Session took place over two weekends in March; the 12th and 13th in Saskatoon and on March 20th in Regina.
Applicants are juried by two senior craft artists working in the same craft media, against written standards of excellence developed by the SCC. Being a juried member allows the artists to sell at SCC markets that include:
The Saskatchewan Handcraft Festival, July 17th – 19th in Battleford
Wintergreen Fine Craft Market, November 20th – 22nd in Regina
The successful applicants this year were:
- Bonny Macnab, Mervin (dyed silk scarves and banners)
- Carrie Fahl, Saskatoon (embroidered ornaments)
- Cheryl Ring, Prince Albert (functional and sculptural pottery)
- Dawn Teasdale, Winnipeg MB (silver and gold jewellery)
- Deb Derksen, Tisdale (functional pottery and fused glass)
- Devon Dietrich, Moose Jaw (slab and hand built pottery)
