Membership Application

Membership Benefits

  • The SCC will help you become the success that you want to be. We will provide marketing services and collateral to help people remember you and engage with your work.

  • We’ll connect you to Saskatchewan’s craft community where you’ll participate with fellow artists to enhance your craft.

  • As a Juried Member you can sell your work at SCC events, markets and through the SCC Shop and Online Store.

  • Our association with the other provincial councils may introduce you to national, international, wholesale and retail experiences.

  • SCC Juried members have their work professionally photographed and featured in the SCC Online Store, the annual report and other marketing assets.

  • You will receive a free subscription to Studio Magazine. Its two issues a year explore Canada’s craft and design community with discussions on new techniques, evolving practices and introductions to creators from across the country.

  • SCC members can take part in SCC’s Professional Practices courses, such as the Sales & Marketing Master Class, and other business development opportunities.

  • You’ll receive SaskCreate, our members’ only e-newsletter providing a place to share information on your practice and find out what your colleagues are doing.

  • Our monthly e-newsletter, Talking Craft, showcases our members to collectors and the wider art community.

  • You’ll have two free entries to Dimensions, our touring exhibition, and access to programming, such as our members’ exhibitions in our gallery.

  • Our jury and feedback sessions will provide you with knowledge to grow your practice.

  • And finally, you’ll get a 10% discount on any purchases from a gallery exhibition.

Membership Types

Professional Craftsperson 

Craft producers who meet the definition of “Professional Artist” as defined by the Arts Professions Act (i.e. selling and exhibiting craft as a profession)

BENEFITS: Professional Craftspeople are eligible to

  • be juried and can then sell at SCC markets and events.
  • Participate in other SCC marketing initiatives (some restrictions may apply).
  • Professional Craftspeople will be listed on our Member Directory and will receive a Member Profile.
  • Receive a free subscription to Studio Magazine.
  • Receive an email invitation to all SCC Gallery exhibitions and receptions and the member e-newsletter SaskCreate.
  • Get a 10% discount on purchases from SCC Gallery.
  • Get free entry to Dimensions.
  • Voting rights at SCC‘s AGM and Special Meetings of the Membership.
  • Can register for Professional Practices for Artists workshops at a reduced price.
  • All members are encouraged to send information about their craft career to  to have it promoted in our newsletters and on social media.

FEE: $100 per individual, $50 per individual for second and subsequent individual in the same household.

Affiliated Marketer
