What does becoming an SCC Member mean?

  • The SCC will help you become the success that you want to be. Our staff are available to provide advice on your marketing practices, to help people remember you and engage with your work. Members may submit their activities, exhibitions, sales, and markets to be promoted through SCC’s digital channels. 
  • We’ll connect you to Saskatchewan’s craft community, where you’ll participate with fellow artists to enhance your craft. 
  • Juried members Can sell work at SCC events, markets, and through the SCC Fine Craft Shop and online store. 
  • Our association, along with the other provincial and territorial craft councils, may introduce you to national, international, wholesale, and retail experiences. 
  • You will receive a free subscription to Studio Magazine. This publication by Craft Ontario prints two annual issues which explore Canada’s craft and design community. It features discussions on new techniques, evolving practices, and introductions to creators from across the country. 
  • You’ll receive SaskCreate, an email newsletter available exclusively to members, which provides a place to share information on your practice and career, as well as supplies you with opportunities for artists and SCC-specific, member-only activities.  
  • You’ll be eligible for complimentary entries to Dimensions and access to exclusive programming, such as our members’ exhibitions. 
  • Our jury and feedback sessions will provide you with knowledge to grow your practice and give guidance on improving your techniques. 
  • And finally, you’ll get a 10% discount on any purchases from SCC Gallery exhibitions. 
     

Important Update to Annual Membership Fees

The SCC announced at our recent Annual General Meeting that membership fees are increasing as of December 1, 2025.

Craft producers who meet the definition of “Professional Artist” as defined by the Arts Professions Act
