Bobbi Clackson-Walker

Bobbi Clackson-Walker is a mixed media artist and art educator based in Saskatoon. Bobbi’s practice is printmaking focused, with a specific interest in techniques of monoprinting. She often engages in altering the monoprinted surface with hand-colouring, cutting, collaging, weaving, and incorporating layers of encaustic and cold wax.

“I use a variety of printmaking methods in creating my monoprints. A current favourite is monoprints created on a gel-based printing plate. Gel-based printing plates are highly responsive to so many techniques and types of media and generate something entirely original with every image pulled from the plate. I find it quite a thrilling process.”

Bobbi has a broad teaching and solo and group exhibition history, holds a Certificate of Art & Design from the University of Saskatchewan, and is a long-standing professional juried member of the Saskatchewan Craft Council.
