Brianne Hager

Brianne Hager (she/her), is a mixed media artist with visual aphantasia who focuses on texture as a way of connecting with the world through touch and sensation rather than through mental images. Using paper, clay, and other media, she blends realism with artistic interpretation to create three dimensional stylized artwork. While she hopes that her art brings joy to others, she creates primarily for herself as a form of self-care. Having struggled with anxiety and depression, she focuses on peaceful nature themes and bright colors as a way to surround herself with joy and positivity, while using the creative process as a form of meditation. Her work has been displayed in Saskatoon, Lloydminster, and in the Chapel Gallery in North Battleford. She has been a member of the Battlefords Art Club since 2022. When she is not painting she can be found gardening, playing board games, or exploring the prairies with her husband and two dogs.
