Cassandra Van Buekenhout

Cassandra was born and raised in Regina, Saskatchewan. In 2019 she moved to Saskatoon, and enrolled at the University of Saskatchewan, for their Bachelor of Fine Arts Honors Degree Program. Starting in University, she took a love for Printmaking, using it as her favorite medium for the past five years and counting. She is driven and confident in her artwork which often draws inspiration from the natural beauty of the Saskatchewan prairies, and the memories and stories that they hold. She hopes her artwork brings about a bold linear visual experience that harkens back to the beautiful prairies her grandparents grew up on.
