Maia Stark

Maia Stark is an artist of settler ancestry based out of Saskatoon, Treaty 6. Stark graduated with a MFA from the University of Saskatchewan in 2015. Stark focuses on concepts of the grotesque and the Uncanny, representing those concepts through a visual language steeped in folktales and fairytales. These images appear often in her functional and sculptural ceramic works.
