Moderated by

    • Brandon Golding of Makerspace. Brandon is the Executive Director at Saskatoon Makerspace, a non-profit arts educational facility and shared workspace. Practically living in the space, when he isn’t working, he’s learning and developing his practice in woodworking, laser cutting, screen printing, pottery, and nearly every other medium offered at the space.

Panelists include

    • Wendy Lloyd: A multi-disciplinary artist known for her innovative use of digital technologies alongside traditional craft techniques. With a BFA from the University of Manitoba, Wendy’s work reflects narrative elements of her experiences and observations, created in her studio, The Make Bank, in Weldon, SK.
    • Jacob Semko: An accomplished artist, author, and printmaker with an extensive academic background and international exhibition history. Jacob’s work explores diverse artistic expressions, and he currently resides in Saskatoon, SK.

    • Jenny Ly : Jenny Ly is an artist living in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. She moved to Saskatoon from Haida Gwaii, British Columbia, where she lived and worked on a beef ranch while also working in a local hospital medical laboratory. In Saskatoon, Jenny furthered her education and, since COVID, has been working as a trauma emergency room nurse while also raising two children with Jacob and growing their fabrication and design studio, yxebackyardstudios. Her many moves and careers have revealed that her interest lies in development and process rather than any finished object, which is reflected in her current art practice.
