Eloise Turnbull

Porcelain painting is an ancient art, the process developed years ago. Each piece is meticulously painted several times, each painting followed by exposure to high heats in a kiln. The process is ancient, however Eloise Turnbull’s designs are modern and original. Early years were spent in Saskatoon, then she spent time in all three prairie provinces. Art of any form has always been her interest. Years ago in Saskatoon, she was fortunate enough to have studied under Ernest Lindner, Robert Murray, Doug Bentham, and a few others. 23 years ago she started China painting, which is now her passion. After ten years she became the teacher. She still teaches when anyone wants to learn this craft. Now these days it is referred to as “Oils on Porcelain”, and her works have been shown in several galleries and sales in Regina. Her pieces are on display presently at Traditions Gallery.
