Marlene Belliveau

she/her

Regina based potter Marlene Belliveau has been honing her craft for the past several years. She was first exposed to working with clay in high school and shared this interest later with her students as an elementary and high school teacher. Since 2012, she found that her passion for creating with clay became a meaningful way to center herself and to express her philosophy that objects that are functional can also be an art form to express oneself and be enjoyed by others. Much of Marlene’s work reflects her love of colour and design. Her varied use of transfers, textures, and other surface decoration is a prominent feature of her works.
