CURRENT EXHIBITION

Queer Newfoundland Hockey League

An exhibition by Lucas Morneau

Exhibition Dates: May 11 – July 6, 2024
Gallery Hours: Monday – Saturday, 11am – 5pm

Queer Newfoundland Hockey League (QNHL) is a fictional hockey league made up of fourteen teams, all of which use pejoratives used against the 2SLGBTQIA+ community as team names. Through crocheted and rug hooked hockey jerseys, queered hockey cards, and crocheted goalie masks, artist Lucas Morneau (they/he) reclaims slurs often used against queer individuals both on and off the ice.
