The Saskatchewan Craft Council, in partnership with Sask Galleries and The Saskatoon Glass Workers Guild, will offer a make-and-take glass mosaic tile workshop during Art Now/Craft Is… at Prairieland Park in Saskatoon. On September 22, participants will be invited to create their own glass mosaic on a 6″ x 6″ wooden board using various coloured glass pieces.
This is a come and go event. Registration is not required. All materials will be provided at no cost to participants.
Participants will be able to experience a unique art-making process that will broaden their understanding of what craft is. Professional glass artists will lead this activity, providing instruction and guidance.
Culture Days aims to:

  • PROMOTE direct interaction between creators and the public, as a key to increasing understanding and appreciation of art and culture; and
  • AFFIRM that every citizen is the guardian of the cultural life of his, her or their community.
