Emma Bound

Group Exhibition

Exhibition Dates: July 15, 2016 - August 20, 2016

Reception: July 26, 2016 7:00 pm - 9 pm

Emma Bound is an exhibition showcasing the eclectic, imaginative and energetic work by artists participating in the prestigious Emma 2016 International Collaboration, as well as invited guest artists. Featuring work in many media, including wood, fibre, ceramics, mixed media and visual art, it is a vibrant show that the whole family can enjoy.

The Emma International Collaboration is a convergence of artists from all over the world: Australia, Curacao, Denmark, France, New Zealand, Switzerland, USA, Canada and beyond. This incredible event is a fusion of technique, creativity, and inspiration! The weeklong residency takes place in the heart of the beautiful Boreal Forest in Northern Saskatchewan, inspiring works in mixed media, fibre, glass, metal, wood, painting, and photography. Artists at various stages of their careers are challenged to step outside their art practice, to explore, experiment and collaborate. The Emma Bound exhibition, at the Saskatchewan Craft Council Gallery, showcases excellent examples from the artists’ own personal art practice.
